About the Author
David E. Ambrose attended the Grenada Boys’ Secondary School (GBSS) from 1983 – 1988. After spending a year at the Grenada National College, he travelled to the United States to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages from Principia College, Elsah, Il., USA. He graduated from Principia in 1993. In 2005, he obtained a Master’s in Education – Curriculum and Instruction, from the University of Phoenix. Ambrose began his teaching career at the GBSS in 1994 where he taught Mathematics and Spanish. He resigned from the public service in 1998 to be part of the founding team to start The Meridian School of Grenada, a private all-age school. He became Head of Meridian in 2005. In 2008, he left Meridian to take up a position as a Communication Studies Lecturer at the T. A. Marryshow Community College (TAMCC). He also lectured in Spanish, French and German. Ambrose lives in Grenada with his wife and two children and continues as a lecturer at TAMCC.

Author's First Book A Great Success!

Great book. I read the whole thing in one day. A very realistic look at Grenada, the language, the culture, the people, and the security forces. Although fictional, it reads true to so many locations and I found myself traveling right into the towns and areas with the characters and enjoying every moment. The plot was great with twists and turns, drama, and enjoyable characters...many of which were women. I love how David included these women in surprising ways. You will enjoy this book whether you are from Grenada or not...but if you are from Grenada, you will love how very true it rings!

Un-put-down-able (it that's such a word)

I heard so many great things about this book that I knew I had to read it. I read it in one sitting. As a local, I'm really proud of this work of fiction from a local author. D.E balances the suspense, fiction and detail really nicely in the book. This is a well researched book, based on the details of artillery, ships and the workings on the under world. Anyone looking to escape to the island of Grenada and have a bit of excitement and espionage along the way will love this fictional work.

A great read for all ages

This is an excellent book from a local Grenadian author. It is fast paced and packed full of action and intrigue. The characters are true to Grenadian life and the local vernacular used in dialogue in the book is easy to read and understand. I started to read the book but just couldn't put it down. The style and pace would appeal to all ages but in particular young adults. Definitely a great read.
